CHANGING SHORTCUT ICONS

How can I change the icon displayed on a shortcut?


1. Right-Click on the shortcut you
   would like to change
   
   
2. Click Properties
   
   
3. Choose the Shortcut tab
   
   
4. Click the Change Icon button
   
   You will see the current Icon
   [and maybe some more choices]
   
   
5. Click the Browse button
   
   A "Windows Explorer" window will open
   Navigate to the folder where the icon
   file you wish to install is
   
   
6. Click on any .ICO or .BMP file to select it
   
   
7. Click Open
   
   You should now see that icon displayed
   
   
8. Click Apply
   
   
9. Click OK
   
   You should now have an new icon
   for that Shortcut on your Desktop
   


NOTE: There are also many ICONS on your system
in the .DLL format (this format allows many different
icons to be contained in a single file [ICON LIBRARY]
